Default Cinema's Most Shocking Deaths

Hi all,

Sinister has one of the most disturbing and shocking yet mesmerising openings in cinema! A family of four are seen hanging from a tree - what a way to open a film! From then on, you know you're in for one heck of a ride. Throughout the movie, we see old homemade 'snuff' murders that continue to get more and more shocking and terrifying.

Soooo....

What are the most shocking death scenes in all of cinema? Perhaps it's a murder in a horror movie that has you reeling in fear every time you see it. Or maybe it's a death scene from another genre - Bambi anyone?

So what are yours?

The little girl getting blasted away in Assault On Precinct 13 is the first that springs to mind. Still shocks me now and I've seen it countless times.

I always thought that was a 'feel good' scene!

Totally agree. I find it hard to watch, especially the final shot to the head, which I think is worse in the theatrical version (since there's no anamatronic Murphy).

Yeah, the director's cut makes it more 'showy' with the 180 degree shot, the theatrical seemed more realistic.
