Default Funniest Twilight Zone Episode

Hello!

This week we're going down the comedy route for our weekly discussions!

So, obviously, which episodes have made you laugh the most? Perhaps intentionally or otherwise? Share you're funniest Twilight Zone episodes here!

For me, there's no doubt AT ALL that the funniest Twilight Zone episode has got to be Series 2's Mr Dingle, The Strong.

For those who haven't seen it, this episode is about this measly stuttering salesman who, with the help of an absurd looking two-headed alien (hillarious in itself!) gives him the strength of 300 men. Hillarity ensues!

I picked this one not just because its meant to be funny - the acting, the music, the dialouge, EVERYTHING is designed to make this a lighter Twilight Zone episode than the others, but also the unintentional gags - the stuff that have been made all that bit clearer on the new HD picture quality of the new releases. From seeing rope attached to the objects he lifts, to the shadow of boom mics and cameras to, my personal favourite, a scene in which the lead's stuntman's face is clearly visible and looks nothing like our hero.

So, which episode has made you laugh the most?

I'll have to give this one some thought. Comedy was never Twilight Zone's strong point. I guess the lead killing his wife in 'Escape Clause' usually raises a smile.

Yes, Escape Clause is very, very black comedy!

I also have a fondness for "A World of his Own" from Season 1.

The ending where Rod Serling appears in and disappears from the story is absolutely hilarious - or, at least, I think it is - and can be seen here:

Hmmm... I wonder what it felt like.
