THIS WEEK @CULT LABS: 23 SEPTEMBER 2011

Quake in fear at the awesomeness of Cult Labs!

WE’RE ALL

GOING TO

DIE!

AHHHHHH!!!

Got your attention?

Great!

Fear not, we’re not all going to die…at least not any time soon (I hope), I just couldn’t think of a title that could justify how epic this week’s newsletter is. So before continuing, I must warn you all that the content in this newsletter may cause so much excitement to bubble up inside you that you may be the victim of a rather inconvenient heart-attack or internal hemorrhaging. Read on with caution! We have nurses at the ready in the event of this very likely occurrence. With that said, lets get this bad boy started! Booyah!

ALL THE BEST THINGS OUT NOW!

Dare you enter The Twilight Zone?

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition. And, it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone. Yes, that’s right, the entire 4th series of the classic Twilight Zone series is out now on DVD and Blu-Ray thanks to Shock Entertainment and FreemantleMedia Enterprises. Containing 18 fantastic episodes including The Thirty-Fathom Grave, Valley Of The Shadow, He’s Alive (staring a young Dennis Hopper), Death Ship, Robert Duvall’s Miniature and so many more! The set also comes with a whole host of extra features including commentaries, isolated musical scores, an original Twilight Zone comic book in PDF (click HERE for a sneak peak), radio dramas, bloopers and so much more. This incredible set is OUT NOW! For some reasons on why this show has gained such a dedicated and huge following, check out the Cult Labs blog ’7 Reasons Why The Twilight Zone is so awesome!’ (Click here for Reason #7, #6, #5, my personal favourite  #4, #3, #2 and #1.) And be sure to visit the official forum too and get stuck in some Twilight Zone chitter-chatter!

Got a HMV near you? Then why not pop in and grab yourself Arrowdrome’s McBain and The Man With The Severed Head out early exclusivly in HMV stores! McBain is a balls-to-the-wall action fest staring the man himself, Mr Christopher Walken! Whilst The Man With The Severed Head is a great slice of euro-ploitation and stars horror icon Naschy! Click here for the McBain forum and here for The Man With The Severed Head‘s!

COMING SOON TO A SHOP NEAR YOU…

Hungry for some cannibal fun?

So I see the nurses haven’t been called out to offer you some first aid yet. I am surprised! Well the release next eek is guarenteed to not only give you a heartattack through excitement as promised but will also make you vomit up you last meal. Of course, I can only be talking about one release! It’s Shameless Screen Entertainment’s Canibal Holocaust out next week on both DVD and Blu-Ray formats. Without a doubt one of the most shocking, most controversial and altogether most stomach churning films ever made, after 20 odd years the film finally is released in the UK practically uncut! And what’s more the package also comes with a whole new edit of the film, by director Ruggero Deodato, specifically for this Shameless release! Also included are some very nice extras and of course that reversible artwork which has become synonymous with Shameless. So be sure to visit the film’s official forum to check out all the Specs, some stunning screenshots and a place to discuss your all time favouirte cannibal movies ever. And whilst you’re at it why not head over to the Cult Labs blog? I’ve posted up a rather neat blog – if I do say so myself – about the history of cannibalism in cinema. Keep your eyes pealed for more fun cannibal blogs, including a human reciepe blog!
