The film is cram-packed with great actors, just take a look-see for yourself…

Tim Robbins

Perhaps best known for his starring role in that all-time classic film The Shawshank Redemption, Tim Robbins career spans many other awesome highs in cinema from the War Of The Worlds remake, Mystic River, Short Cuts, Top Gun and of course Erik in Erik The Viking! Bow down to this man’s almighty filmography!

Front cover

Terry Jones

The director, writer, actor and all round man-of-the-hour, Terry Jones is a king amongst comedy legends. Staring in the undeniably hillarious Monty Python, ol’ Jonesy has since appeared in The Wind in the Willows, Jabberwocky and a whole host of other nuggets of comedy gold!

John Cleese

Known for his silly walks and his dead parrot purchasing, to name but a few classic sketches, John Cleese was a firm favourite out of the Python team! With such greats as Fawlty Towers, How To Irritate People, Die Another Day and of course those brilliant appearances in 3rd Rock From The Sun and The Muppets Show, John Cleese is quite simply one of the greatest comics ever to have lived.

Tim McInnerny

Poor Tim – I’ve always felt this guy doesn’t get nearly half as much credit as he’s due.  From his role in Blackadder as Darling to 101 Dalmations, Watership Down and the great recent British horror Severance, Tim always knows how to make you chuckle. He’s at his best here as Sven Beserker!

Erik and friends...

Here’s some info on the Arrow Drome release…

Meet Erik (Tim Robbins), the world’s most sensitive Norse warrior, a man with little time for pillage and no taste for rape. Erik killed a girl once and he feels very badly about it. Erik isn’t really like the other Vikings but now he must take his warrior clan to the gates of Valhalla itself, braving harsh seas, terrifying creatures and horrifically atonal singing along the way.

From Monty Python star Terry Jones comes an hilarious Viking satire that proves you can fight the Gods and still have a good time.

Fusing modern realism with folk myth this powerfully gritty first feature by independent filmmakers Alexandre Franchi and Mark A. Krupa offers an astonishing twist on the medieval/fantasy genre. Highly acclaimed, this fable noir has won a host of accolades and international awards, including Best Canadian First Feature Film at Toronto International Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Slamdance Film Festival.

Clinging to the imagined glory of his Icelandic ancestry, Bjorn immerses himself as a LARPer in medieval re-enactment games. His brother Erik hates this escapist fantasy world but when he discovers that his girlfriend has not only become involved with but seduced by Murtagh, the charismatic clan leader, he follows her into the game.

Lost in a fantasy land of arcane rules, plastic-eared elves and beer-guzzling knights, Erik must now rely on his brother for guidance. Passions flare and rules are broken as their mission angers a jealous Murtagh – reality and fantasy start to collide as the good-hearted game degenerates into a tragedy of mythic proportions…
