What a week it has been!
Over the past few days, film fans have been shocked to find out that HMV and Blockbusters have both gone into administration. Times are a’ changing! Thankfully, it’s the Cult Labs’ Weekly Newsletter to the rescue, to bring cult film fans some good news about a bunch of excellent must-see films coming out very soon. So, don’t give up hope yet! V/H/S
It’s not been all doom and gloom on the home entertainment front as this week also saw an incredible event take place in London that all horror fans would have loved! Celebrating the upcoming theatrical and DVD/Blu-ray release of V/H/S, for one night only a London studio was transformed into a video rental store from the 80s. Head here to see what you missed! Sinister
There’s just under 4 more weeks until Sinister is unleashed on DVD and Blu-ray. Invite this terrifying film into your house…if you dare. There has been loads of Sinister stuff happening this week to celebrate it’s release, including a play-list of the very best home made horror movies from years gone by. Playing on Sinister‘s nerve-wrecking ‘snuff’ Super 8 movies, check out this play-list for some no-budget, extremely amature, but hugely fun and unbelievably creepy videos. Chained
Imagine a cross between Taxi Driver, Maniac and Beyond The Darkness and you’ll be along the right lines with this fantastic new horror film coming from Anchor Bay. Staring Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket, Men In Black), Chained tells the story of a demented mass serial killer who kidnaps a child and decides to teach him to follow in his footsteps. Although no Shameless titles have yet to be announced for 2013 – we’re hoping they’ll be very shortly however – be sure to grab your copy of the classic spaghetti western, Django! available soon on DVD and Blu-ray from Argent.
