THIS WEEK @ CULT-LABS: 22 MARCH 2013

Ding-Ding-Ding!

That onomatopoeic sound can only mean one thing. Yep, it’s newsletter time! Celebrate Friday with a chuck of cult movie goodness. So, without further ado about nothing, let’s crack on and get this kicking!

Out Now…

Released earlier this week were two fantastic must-own horror films. Up first is Shivers meets Jaws and 28 Days Later in The Bay. The minds behind Good Morning Vietnam and Rain Man joins forces with the mind behind Sinister to create one of the most realistic and terrifying found footage movies you will ever see! Watch this movie and we’ll promise you’ll never want to drink again. Check out the film’s fan hub here and order the film (available on DVD/BD/Download) if you haven’t already.

Also out this week, is a great new thriller from Anchor Bay. Bubbling with tension and boiling over with steam hot eye-candy, 247ᵒF takes the premise of Frozen and flips it on it’s head. Based on true events, a group find themselves trapped in a sauna! Check out this exclusive sneak preview and don’t forget to pick up your copy this weekend.

Television

The Official Prisoner: Cell Block H online awards continue this week. Taking a look at the greatest and most shocking death scenes, if you haven’t already, be sure to vote for your favourite! In other news, who’s been glued to the small screen watching Spartacus. All that gore, all that nudity and a plot so intense and action-packed you’ll be crazy to watch it without a nurse and a defibrillator by your side! If you’re a fan of Rome, The Wire Walking Dead or another quality TV show, do yourself a favour and watch Spartacus! On Mondays, Sky1 at 10pm.

Shameless Screen Entertainment

This week’s Shameless Film Of The Week looks at the excellent slice of giallo cinema from Mr. Sergio Martino, Torso! Often called a masterpiece of the giallo movement, what do you think of it? Fans have shown a keen interest in seeing Shameless release a Blu-ray of it. Would you like that to happen? Let us known on the Official Shameless forum!

Remember there are so many ways you can get involved with all the cult film fun at Cult Labs:
