That onomatopoeic sound can only mean one thing. Yep, it’s newsletter time! Celebrate Friday with a chuck of cult movie goodness. So, without further ado about nothing, let’s crack on and get this kicking!

Out Now…

Released earlier this week were two fantastic must-own horror films. Up first is Shivers meets Jaws and 28 Days Later in The Bay. The minds behind Good Morning Vietnam and Rain Man joins forces with the mind behind Sinister to create one of the most realistic and terrifying found footage movies you will ever see! Watch this movie and we’ll promise you’ll never want to drink again. Check out the film’s fan hub here and order the film (available on DVD/BD/Download) if you haven’t already.

Also out this week, is a great new thriller from Anchor Bay. Bubbling with tension and boiling over with steam hot eye-candy, 247ᵒF takes the premise of Frozen and flips it on it’s head. Based on true events, a group find themselves trapped in a sauna! Check out this exclusive sneak preview and don’t forget to pick up your copy this weekend.

Television

The Official Prisoner: Cell Block H online awards continue this week. Taking a look at the greatest and most shocking death scenes, if you haven’t already, be sure to vote for your favourite! In other news, who’s been glued to the small screen watching Spartacus. All that gore, all that nudity and a plot so intense and action-packed you’ll be crazy to watch it without a nurse and a defibrillator by your side! If you’re a fan of Rome, The Wire Walking Dead or another quality TV show, do yourself a favour and watch Spartacus! On Mondays, Sky1 at 10pm.

This week’s Shameless Film Of The Week looks at the excellent slice of giallo cinema from Mr. Sergio Martino, Torso! Often called a masterpiece of the giallo movement, what do you think of it? Coming to DVD and Blu-ray this Monday we have two fantastic new horror movies that is crying out to be in your film collection! Up first we have the brand new eco-horror film that mixes Jaws, 28 Days Later and Shivers into a cocktail of gross-out, skin-crawling and genuinely terrifying horror with a powerful message behind it. Directed by Barry Levinson, the genius behind such titles as Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man and Toys, you know this film is going to be a miles ahead of your typical horror movie. But what are you favourite Barry Levinson films? Well, head to this poll and let us know!

Also out at the start of next week is the fun new horror movie from Anchor Bay. Saunas; hot, steamy and relaxing. Now imagine being trapped in one, being slowly roasted alive! Looking for something to watch on the ol’ telly-box? Perhaps you need a new TV box set to add to your ever-growing collection. Well why not the upcoming box sets of Prisoner: Cell Block H. The series set inside a tough women’s prison, the show is full of murder, blackmail, escapes, riots and some of the greatest characters ever to have graced the small screen – and that’s no exaggeration! A firm cult favourite, we (the Official Prisoner forum) have teamed up with the Official Facebook page and the Wentworth Forum to create the ULTIMATE online Official Prisoner awards. Each week, vote for your favourite character/moment of the chosen category! This week, be sure to vote for the greatest top dog. Check out this video for a quick reminder of the nominations.

In other TV related news, have you been watching much of Spartacus: War Of The Damned lately? If not, you’re seriously missing out! Full with gratuitous bloodshed, sex and a fantastically gripping plot, this is the most cinematic television has ever been.
