Out Now!

This week saw Anchor Bay’s latest horror film released onto DVD and Blu-ray. Directed by Jennifer Lynch, Chained tells the tormenting horrors of a boy who’s kidnapped by the murderer of his own mother and then chained (hence the title!) and brought up to follow in the footsteps of his crazy capturer. A cross between Maniac and Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer, this film makes for one tough watch that, whilst not super gory, will get inside your mind and scar you! Sinister

On DVD, Blu-ray and Download this coming Monday, evil is unleahed! Titled last year’s most terrifying movie, this really is one of the best modern horror movies. The talented and drop dead gorgeous Ethan Hawke stars in the lead role, bringing class to the genre. What are your favourite Hawke movies? The Bay

Don’t drink the water! Coming out soon in cinemas is the superbly creepy and gross out eco-horror, The Bay. This is the modern equivilant to Jaws and will make you think twice about drinking any water! Go and take a look at the official site for some fascinating blogs about this film and get ready for one of the most intense and frightening cinema experiences! The horror in this film is very close to home and a little too believable – you’ll never be able to go near water again!

Reign Of Assassins

Two words. John Woo. If that isn’t enough to make you excited about this film then there’s something wrong. Co-directed and produced by the action man himself, Reign Of Assassins is a fantastically frantic new film in a similar tradition to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.  See the official trailer and find out all about the movie on the new official forum where you’ll also find a poll to vote for your favourite John Woo movie, whether it’ll be The Killer, Face/Off or another action classic.

On DVD and Blu-ray from Anchor Bay this coming Monday, Jennifer Lynch’s Chained is a fascinating yet troubling horror slasher.
