When There’s Something Strange, In Your Neighbourhood…
Who you gonna call? Certainly not me! If there’s one thing that scares me as much as spontaneous combustion, being buried alive, giant cockroaches and the imminent invasion of reptilian aliens, its ghosts. Ghouls, spirits, entities, poltergeists, things that go bump in the night. They creep me out, and I’m sure they do you too! Cinema has always been fascinated with these supernatural manifestations, from as early as George Melies’The Devil’s Castle from 1896 (click here to watch!) to the modern hits such as Paranormal Activity. Well, hold onto your knickers grandma, there’s a new ghost story coming out to DVD and Blu-ray soon that will scare the heebie-jeebies out of you! Out on Friday 5th October, the box office hit The Pact is released! A great thriller very similar to The Others, The Woman In Black, The Innocents and What Lies Beneath?, this is a truly terrifying thriller. Check out our list of the top 13 ghostly thrillers and be sure to let us known your own on The Pact‘s official forum too!
As we approach Hallowe’en, things are going to get even spookier – so keep your eyes pealed for even more ghostly goings on. Yipes!
