EONE are shortly to release the quite brilliant and wildly original Norwegian Ninja on UK DVD and Cult Labs are delighted to have created the official hubsite for the film. With so many by-the-numbers action movies and substandard comedies doing the rounds, it’s great to have a movie that takes a genuinely fresh approach to both genres, crafting a unique mix of spy genre tropes, off beam Scandanavian humour, news and library footage and all the glorious cliches of prime 80s martial arts shlock to create something unlike any other movie. The best description I can come up with is an insane clash of Austin Powers, Napoleon Dynamite, James Bond and retro action flicks, including of course, the 80s overload of Ninja movies.
