When the fragile tube of metal that’s shooting you through the sky at hundreds of miles an hour is showing signs of fatigue… When there’s a fierce electrical storm raging outside… When,beyond the realms of sense and logic, there are Octopoid-like tentacles trying to grab hold of your plane and consign you to a grisly death… It helps to have more than one parachute to get you safely back to Mother Earth but then, if logic and good reason were an essential ingredient of the horror genre, I think most of us would have stopped watching years ago.
