Can't quite agree with that, Prince. You might as well say that pan and scan fullscreen transfers are acceptable. They're not and never have been. You're not seeing the film as the director intended and that's the crux of the matter here. It may well still be watchable and undoubtedly still a good film, but you're not seeing the film as the director intended and that's the issue for me.
