It's not bad actually, I quite enjoyed it. It's mostly a cast of unknowns, but they all do a first rate job. It's more of a character study of the 3 new inmates rather than an out-and-out brutal prison drama. The violence is stark and horrific, for sure, but it's not really the sole focus of the film. Watch it, I reckon you'll like it.
