The House by the Cemetery may be a lot of things, but 'a quintessential Giallo' certainly isn't one of them! As the first in Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy, it's like saying
The Beyond and
City of the Living Dead are gialli, a term best applied to things like
Don't Torture a Duckling,
Murder Rock and
New York Ripper.
