I'm not sure what it is about Bill Mumy, but he was certainly adept at playing creepy kids! In Long Distance Call, he certainly freaked out his parents and, when his father picked up the phone, his reaction was suitably realistic.
Speaking of creepy kids, I should really watch The Bad Seed BD.
