It is the uncut version. I'm surprised no sites (including here) are mentioning that it's the restored version.

I pre-ordered it the other day for a whopping £18.45 from Amazon, cheapest I could find it at the minute

Amazon refund the difference if the price drops.

Yep,contender for release of the year.
This has overtaken CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN as my favourite Cushing Dr Victor outing.

The good doctor's creation in this one is the best monster in the series by far.The grim setting of an asylum adds to the grottiness.

One of the most striking scenes ever in the Hammer cannon is when the creature is down in the graveyard digging with a makeshift cross.

Patrick Troughton turns up again, this time as a bodysnatcher.

Let's hope Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed is next.
Vampix and Rik like this.

It's fab! I love how they kept the same style with the 'Double Play' box too - very cool.

That's the only thing I don't like about it. It's like the old dvds that had stuff like "includes commentary & deleted scenes" in a big circle, printed over the art. Doesn't look very nice at all, imo (won't stop me from buying it though).

It is kind of annoying. Why can't the distributors release a separate Blu-ray and DVD release? I only want the BD, and not the DVD. It's nice to hear it's going to be the full uncut version. I've still got the German DVD, which was missing a few frames from the death of the asylum director. I think it was uncut apart from that.

LOVE these Hammer packages!

What's this pish on Amazon?

Item Under Review

This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.

We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Eh, wtf!? Someone probably accidentally ordered a dvd and moaned when this never turned up (even though it's not out yet!)
