I watched it probably two weeks ago for review and really want to watch it again but have been holding off until the 'proper' copy arrives.

It's a brilliant movie and, although the extras are ported over from the special edition DVD, they are all really good, with a revealing commentary, an insightful interview with Pino Donaggio and more.

Can't wait to see this again and in HD!. Was hoping it would come through the door today but alas not, no post at all today, which probably mean the postman had a day off as usual ugh. Never mind, it better come tomorrow!

It's a very moody film. The atmosphere created by the wintry Venice is like a character in it's own right.

I consider it a masterpiece and the way in which Nicholas Roeg changes Venice from a enticing, beautiful, town into a haunting, threatening, place is remarkable. Pino Donaggio's score is probably the best of his illustrious career.
