Well if it was cut, it must have been some bad shit they cut. |
This is the only reason why I won't buy the R1! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...1L._SS500_.jpg :ack: |
I think INSIDE was cut by 7 minutes to obtain an R rating for theatrical purposes in the US. Then Dimension Extreme decided it wasn't worth releasing such a heavily cut film theatrically, so put it straight out onto DVD - uncut and unrated. Philleh, I agree the cover artwork is terrible. But don't let that put you off - you get the film, fully uncut, in it's original language with optional English subtitles (there's also an English dubbed version if you prefer) and an hour-long Making Of documentary. Also, the cover comes with a shiny slipcase which suddenly makes it look a little better. Honestly, look beyond the cover and buy it for the great film/disc! :) |
don't get me wrong... I've seen it; many times ;) |
I just saw Martyrs the other night up London. Boy was that a hard film to watch! It's just so relentless and disturbing. This is by far the most extreme of the new french horror films (more so than Inside!). I guess you could call this the Cannibal Holocaust of today as it truly is a VERY disturbing film. I kept asking myself why the hell i was watching it, in fact, why the hell do I watch horror at all?! Anyone else seen this film yet? :) |
I'm looking forward to seeing this when it's released on DVD next month. Inside was excellent. |
Both, "Martyrs" and "Inside", belong to my most cherished modern horror flicks!:cool: |
I saw Martyrs in Leeds last November and I thought it was all the things you said, don't like it, it gets a bit boring for the last half of the film |

If so do you recon it'll be cut. I must admit to not being familiar with either movie. |
Martyrs was passed uncut in February (Optimum are releasing it). |
