It's worse with older films too somehow, and Rolling Thunder is a great example of this. I can look at something like The Last Exorcism and the 'Double Play' banner does spoil it but it seems much worse when it's plastered across an old classic movie poster like Rolling Thunder, rather than a new film. Like a bunch of trendy advertising types peeing on a great film poster or something.

It's the intrusiveness that's the issue I guess. I have no issue, for example, with the Arrow Academy blurays as the dual format announcement on the cover is quite subtle, and you get the original untainted artwork under the slipcases anywway.
