It's definitely growing on me. I prefer it to the Arcade release cover for sure. I don't understand why people love those "Video Nasty" covers so much. They are almost always cheap, rushed, tacky and ugly (with the occasional exception like Tenebrae or Inferno). There is rarely any definitive "original artwork" for films - as we see it varies too much from country to country - and I don't get defending old artwork just because it is from the time of release if it is horrible!
At least this is quirky and odd. I slightly prefer the artwork that was on the Shriek Show, but this is increasingly looking like a good option to me. You just have to let it grow on you!
And, hey, it could have been the Apex artwork! So breathe a sigh of relief there!
