For the uninformed those 'ol EC horror comics of the above decade were wickedly entertaining! Yours truly snapped up a few reprints back in the '90s and despite the visual violence the bad guys (and gals) always got their comeuppance so EC head honcho Bill Gaines certainly had his finger on the moral pulse. Evildoers got what they deserved everytime. I believe back in the '50s, one story even gave the reader the ingredients to concoct a very effective and very real poison!
Needless to say, the '90s reissue blacked out all the relevant info.
Wertham didn't just vent his venom at horror titles either. He also considered Batman and Robin to be two Homosexuals living together at Wayne Manor!
