Being scared is not bad for children and children deserve the joy of monsters and the delicious thrill of "safe fear" as much as adults. Most pre-teens (10 - 14) are more than capable of dealing with the likes of Jaws, I would have thought. |
Totally agree to be honest as I was watching all sorts of stuff at that age and younger. I'm just surprised at the BBFC's leniency that's all.
