I know Metallica (The Black Album) marked a turning point for the band and see what you mean, but I saw them on the Death Magnetic tour and thought they were absolutely stunning – a band who know exactly how to please the fans, get the crowd involved and put together a great set list.

I have DVDs of their earlier gigs/concerts from the Live Shit: Binge & Purge set and, while some of them are very raw, with nothing but thrash metal, every band will evolve and become a much better stage presence the more they perform live. That said, I would have loved to see them on the Master of Puppets tour as that's the first album of theirs I bought and one which is still my favourite..
