The Doctor Who Annual
The original Doctor Who Annual was produced by World Distributors and ran from 1966 to 1986, missing out 1972 for reasons unknown.
The stories were often bizarre with companions bearing no resemblance to the onscreen ones.
When John Nathan-Turner became the programmes producer he influenced the annual much more, tying it in with its tv counterpart and having features based on the series, therefore improving its content somewhat, and making it a more recognisable product by utilising the shows onscreen logo.
World Distributors stopped producing the annual in 1986.
To. Be. Continued.
