Got this answer from Arrow about if they actually DO use a different souce from the BU disc:
"There's only one negative,
the BU disc likely came from a secondary source like an Internegative or Interpositive, as is usual for many Blu-rays. Ours come from the actual original camera negative so will have greater definition and sharpness.
High bit rate and top notch restoration in London (no Italian DNR meddling)."
Directly from the negative, high bitrate, and no noise and digital tamperings.
If this becomes as great as it sounds, then it´s gonna be a serious middlefinger to BU´s mediocre and digitally molested transfer
I hope this is the dawn of a brand new future for italian movies on Blu-ray, free of that LVR video noise
Finally one of my absolute favorite horror moives of all time, is gonna get the transfer it deserves
This is gonna be me until the disc arrives
