I'd heard a few people say that this isn't a bad remake. I love the original, probably one of my favourite slashers. It was nice to see Tom Atkins back on screen & I was kind of on board with the film for the first half hour or so, nothing great but it was mildly entertaining. Unfortunately it went really downhill after this & become dull, which for a slasher film is a sin. The whole 'who's the killer' plot of the final 20'odd minutes was so overblown. I really couldn't care less & was more than glad when the film ended.

I think
My Bloody Valentine is the best of the remakes. Thought it had some fine bloody murders and the 3d was actually very good. I also thought Jensen Ackles was good in the lead role. I really enjoyed it, all four times i've seen it.
The recent run of horror remakes certainly divide opinion,i either love em' - this,
The Hills Have Eyes,
House of Wax,
Texas Chainsaw Massacre or hate em' -
