As it was a tv series, I'l put this here.
The Strange World Of Gurney Slade Anthony Newley's rather odd six parter. Acquired this over xmas from friend. As I had heard about this from an older mate who saw it at the time, I didn't really know what to expect. What you get is something is not for OTB fans imo. Post modern waaaay before it became the norm, this rather unusual series has more in common with Satre's
No Exit than The Plank. Preempting several things including The Prisoner, Python & Reggie Perrin, this rather sombre (but
funny I hasten to add) delight must have infuriated the viewers at the time, seeing as it was broadcast on Saturday at 20.35!! mindboggling really.
And it has Hugh Paddick playing a fairy. SOLD.
