I bought one of these recently -
LG BP40NS20 External Blu-ray Burner: Find and buy cheap CD and DVD Burners with Shopping.com UK.
Works on my '09 Mac Pro. I don't really watch blu ray on the computer though as I use the drive for burning authored discs so not sure about playback software. Toast video player will play them but it's a bit awkward.
