I'm just watching the test burn that Marc Morris has sent to me (in the corner of my screen whilst I work on spreadsheets so not as glamorous as it sounds!) and whilst I loved the film before I'm now head-over-heels with it - the imagery looks stunning. To that end I wish we could do all sorts of sleeves for this title - the problem is the more restrained they've become the poorer the sales - quite markedly so.

The flipside uses art as it was found - it does have a strange emptiness to it but somehow it adds to the bizarre loneliness of the film.

The front is not quite how I wanted it - I wanted it darker and more mysterious but the pulpy yellow nature of Shameless designwise means you can just lose such efforts. Actually we kicked off with that image of her being dragged along by the astronauts but it lacked drama (kinda looked a touch silly) and again had the emptiness of the flipside or almost unfinished look which you mention. I thought let's try that image reflected in a helmet and I think it's better but watching the film again I'm not sure I'm even worthy to be directing the sleeve! One thing I will say from the vintage artworks I've seen to date - no one has captured the spirit of the film yet and it always ends up looking quite pulpy.
