I love surreal cinema and the fact that it will take you on a journey into the abyss with no distinct narrative path but this struggled with it's identity immensely. At times it wanted to be a narrative but there wasn't enough meat on the bones to chew. That being said, I'm not sure about a recommendation but I'm glad I watched it at least once.
It's an unusual film, isn't it? I've always had a soft spot for Northfolk, and felt its narrative shortcomings were just about compensated for by some stunning cinematography and curiously surreal touches. Been years since I saw it last, so probably needs a reevaluation.
