I honestly didn't know what to make of Detention the first time I watched it. It played on my mind for days, almost begging to be rewatched, so I eventually indulged my craving and despite still not knowing exactly what to think, I at least came to the conclusion that it is a film which is such a mash-up of ideas and oddities, that it succeeded in hooking me in. It has a strange charm to it.
Do I like it? I honestly can't say, but I don't dislike it... All I know is that I need watch it again. Soon.
