Unfortunately it is region A locked.
I know people always say get a region free blu player and if you look about you will come across one sooner or later not too expensive. I managed to pick up a new Maidstone (that well known make!!) for 60 odd quid and whilst not the best player you've ever seen will last until I can fork out for a decent one.
Keep your eyes open for things like this,

There are also various firmware disc to tuen your player region free but these have to match exactly to whatever player you already own. IE Panasonic, Toshiba, Sony, etc. Hope some of this helps.
