I agree, but for me being able to play a multitude of basically unrecognisable notes in quick succession is boring, sure I can play pretty fast, but that doesn't necessarily make me a great guitarist, I'd rather be remembered for my melody playing than my shredding chops (well, remembered on the Halifax music scene anyway
