No Mercy.

Richard Gere plays a hard boiled Chicago cop whose partner gets brutally gutted by New Orleans Nut-job played by Dutch character actor Jeroen Krabbe. Gere goes out for revenge and ends up falling for Krabbes missus. To be fair however it is Kim Basinger at her hottest.

The film is a great little potboiler with some decent action scenes including a peckinpah-esque end gun battle. This one was a late night telly favorite of mine for some years and a nice addition to Mill creeks four film set.

Where sleeping dogs lie.

Dylan McDermott, the man who never ages plays a struggling writer with artistic pretensions who is crashing at an abandoned Californian mansion. The mansion was the scene of a brutal family massacre five years back and McDermott decides to use this as inspiration for his new book. Meanwhile a stranger turns up and decides to crash there as well. The stranger is played by Tom Sizemore so nothing could go wrong really...

Also Sharon Stone is McDermott's smoking hot agent and reminds the audience she was actually a pretty good actress before she started flashing her bits for cash.

WSDL is a little slow moving perhaps and the weakest of the films in the set but certainly still worth watching.
