DRIVE-IN MASSACRE (1977) Directed by Stu Segall

This micro budget film is about a killer than bumps off patrons at a drive-in theatre in rural California and a pair of cops who try figure and stop him. That's pretty much it as far as the plot goes, nothing more to add really.

Typical low budget H.G Lewis style film, with the type of sub par acting and dialogue we come to expect from films of this type. There's a few decent kills from our deranged psychopath using a sword, with heads being shown lopped off etc. and there's also a brief appearance from George "Buck" Flower, best remembered as the sleeping tramp rudely awaken by Marty McFly in the Back to the Future films (incidentally, his daughter stars too as his er daughter!).

I watched this the other week, but have only just got the chance to write anything about it, so a lot of it is forgotten now, but I will say that despite this being absolutely terrible, I enjoyed it for what it is and because I watched it via the awful looking 23rd Century DVD, it really did feel like a grindhouse flick. I highly doubt this would have the same impact if it gets a polish, after all you can't polish a turd!

Final thoughts: Recommended if you're a fan of H.G Lewis or shite cinema, but if you're looking for low budget of the Carpenter/Hooper type, then I'd avoid this
