It used to be on BBC2, along with Seinfeld.
Some of it really black humor imo.
Shandling was offered his own chat show, and decided to do this instead etc.
Twas also the reason I didn't care for Seinfeld originally as it had catchphrases, laughter track etc etc
. Really they were lumped together, 2 US comedies etc.
