It may be because I was comparing it to an all-time classic, but I found it lacked any of the tension found in the 1960 film and, because it didn't bring anything new to the table. Also, Thomas Dekker is nowhere near as creepy in the role of David Martin Stevens was in the original. Also, Christopher Reeve is a poor replacement for George Sanders. Also, Mark Hamill as the town Reverend? Please.
It's probably worth a watch out of curiosity value, but I don't rate it at all.
