Sexy Sisters (1977, JF)
From its opening to its rather abrupt finale, with this one he lets rip. Non stop sleaze and filth, Jack Taylor's face, which no doubt saved on scenery , and Pam Stanford's wig all add up to a rollicking ride and a half. Ostensibly a Spiral Staircase/Gaslight rip (cough!!), this super tale of cash and gash is next on my Golden Goya list, as my dvd is getting a bitty worn ahem.

Local Hero (1985, Bill Forsyth).
BF's biggest hit still retains his unique otherworldlyness (is that a word?? Tis now ), though to a lesser extent than the earlier films; charming though it is!! I've grown up with Forsyth's work, and I still have time for all his stuff...even the Gregory sequel!!!
Recommended to those who don't see British film as a never ending stream of shitty geezer movies.....
