I think the first Robocop could be one of the first really violent movies I witnessed as a kid. Remember when I first saw the guy shot and torn apart by ED-209's gunfire thinking "uuurrrghhh that's what it must really look like"...and I still do, it's so visceral and the complete antithesis to the gun worshipping American TV crap that went out on a Saturday afternoon at the time eg. The A-Team. Weird, I've seen far more brutal movies since but this still stands out as grim, sadistically violent and depressing in the extreme. Toxic Waste. "Uuurrgh hheellp me..."...shudder...
