Back to the Future (1985)
Back to the Future Part II (1989)
Back to the Future Part III (1990)

Enduring and endearing sci-fi / fantasy series following the travels back and forward in time of high school student Marty McFly and scientist Emmett Brown using a DeLorean time machine between four fixed points in time - 1985, 2015, 1885 and 1955, although not necessarily in that order.

Watched back to back on consecutive evenings, the flaws of the sequels become easily apparent especially the first hour of Part II which in all honesty is a loud and unfunny mess and it's only when Marty goes back to 1955 does it get interesting. Part III, whilst a more enjoyable experience overall is a little slight in all it's plot points and whilst a fun way to finish the trilogy doesn't have the same wow factor as the 1985 original.

Of course, Back to the Future, the original film, is a modern classic, and still enormous, dare i say, timeless fun, that despite a few 80's fashion disasters is one of the family films of the final quarter of the 20th century.
