I did contemplate
Isle of the Dead, being a big Lewton fan. but it's really about the Vorvolaka than any disease, in fact disease is only mentioned to deflect suspicion away from the Vorvolaka. I'm surprised you've actually seen it, J.
Outbreak is actually scarier than many of the films listed as horror, in my opinion.
