I'm absolutely loving
Genexus. The latest album from
Fear Factory.
I'd no idea they were a two piece now consisting solely of Burton and Dino.
The drums are from Dean Castronovo of AOR legends
Journey. He must have fancied some blast beats for a change.
It's several years since i bought a new
Fear Factory album and whilst this isn't wildly different to classics like
Demanufacture it does feel really fresh to my ears. Possibly because the use of keys and melody is quite prominent as well as the usual mayhem. The digipack i have has two extra tracks. One called
Mandatory Sacrifice which features and is produced by Al Jourgensen.
