Right about now some bugger always touts out the line, "I don't NEED to see some poor defenceless animal killed for my viewing pleasure!" Insinuating that whoever does want the full uncut film is some sexual deviant who pleasures themselves while watching a turtle get its head chopped off. Seriously, I get it, you are obviously a higher evolved, moral upstanding decent person, far better than me, wanking furiously to Africa Addio.
88 are doing sterling work but stick to films you can put out in uncut versions. Most cult film collectors I know want full versions, nearly every release the question is asked ad infinitum by fan after fan, Is it Uncut? Censored films hurt sales and reputation. There are plenty of films out there that would sail past our censorship board now, concentrate on them. [/I] | My thoughts exactly. If I had a BD/DVD releasing company specialising in cult titles then I, personally, would concentrate on putting out films that I knew would get past the BBFC uncut. As a fan buying these films I wouldn't buy a censored UK version when an uncut import is only a mouse click away. I would, however, rather support home grown companies when buying uncut titles like Burial Ground, Nightmares in a Damaged Brain, Zombi Holocaust, etc.
