My favourite of his remains The People Under the Stairs though - I absolutely love it!
Wes Craven certainly left behind a varied and impressive collection of films, from gruelling 'ordeal' horrors (Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes) to traditional slashers (Nightmare on Elm Street), interesting low-budget films (The People under the Stairs), well crafted mainstream thrillers (Red Eye) and genre-bending 'meta' horrors (New Nightmare, Scream).

In terms of his best film or your personal favourite, fortunately I don't think there is a chance of a wrong answer.
