Yeah Season 2 is top. The rankings are from top to bottom. Season 3 is a very close second but 2 just edges it for me. 5 was a return to form after the terrible Initiative story arc of Season 4 amongst other flaws. Season 1 is in the middle of the series followed by 6, 7 & the said weakest 4.
