I quite like those clichés/tropes which are a little like in jokes to let you know you're watching a Jon Woo film!

I'd forgotten about Face/Off, which is a film I really enjoyed, but haven't seen for many years. That said, I much prefer his Hong Kong films (especially those with Chow Yun Fat) to the American ones.

I know it's not exactly an action film, more a historical epic, but Red Cliff is a masterpiece.
