I've watched the first few episodes of The Owl Service, for those who don't know an adaptation of a children's book for Granada TV in 1969, on dvd by Network.
It amazes me the quality of these shows which were intended for children back then but are far too grown up for kids of today. Even 2 episodes in I can tell I'm going to love this and I'm looking forward to watching a load of them tomorrow, it's just a shame there are only 8 episodes.
