Haha, very true! Although, as mentioned I think it covers enough of the tropes to qualify myself. As for
Short Night, whilst I indeed consider it a giallo, I can certainly see where he's coming from by not including it as it hardly sticks to a classical formula either... and also includes ritualistic dark rites and the disappearance of young girls just like
The Girl in Room 2A, albeit the story playing out in a very different manner.
