Because the theatrical versions of BvS and Suicide Squad were butchered by the studio, so they released the director's cut of BvS on Blu-ray (it remains to be seen what Suicide Squad will be).

Nope, the theatrical cut of Suicide Squad was NOT Ayer's version, don't listen to him, he just didn't want to sour his relationship with them. Ideally we'll be getting his version on Blu-ray, but I'm sort of expecting it to just be the botched theatrical cut instead with some extra bits, we shall see.
