A special mention goes to Dark Shadows (2012) and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2010) as two modern old dark house films which have really stuck in my head and could well crack this top 10 in a few years time. If we stick TV shows in, Exorcism from the old Dead of Night Anthology show is excellent stuff. As is Someone at the Top of the Stairs from Thriller.
